| The Visionetics VIStar 2000 series is a digital consumer set-top-box
that provides state-of-the-art integrated circuit technology featuring QPSK demodulation
and MPEG-2 decoding. Each VIStar 2000 series set-top-box is equipped with an integrated
receiver and decoder utilizing the highest level of component integration. The VIStar 2000 series units are equipped with flexible performance and functionality and include a complete electronic program guide, guided access tools, on-screen display interface and parental locks. The VIStar 2000 series provides baseband video output and VHF or UHF modulated video in PAL or NTSC format. All VIStar 2000 series support software downloads without service interruption. The VIStar 2000 series features conditional access and security system options from NagraVision or NDS Open VideoGuard. The VIStar 2000 may also be ordered with DVB-CI (Common Interface) for additional security options. The DVB Common Scrambling Algorithm system is supported. The VIStar 2000 is designed for DTH applications including Free-to-Air, Pay-Per-View and Interactive Broadcast. |

| The VISIONETICS VIStar 3000 series digital consumer set-top-box
delivers 64 and 256 QAM demodulation of multiplexed MPEG-2 transport streams and is fully
compliant with DVB-C. The VIStar 3000 is equipped with return path electronics for interactive applications such as impulse pay per-view, video-on-demand, internet access and email. Video outputs include Baseband, Composite, S-Video, and RF Ch.3/4. Wide screen aspect ratios are supported for movie like display. Stereo and advanced Dolby audio is also available. The VIStar 3000 supports unattended software downloads for programming updates and software feature upgrades. The VIStar 3000 series brings consumers comprehensive program guides and easy to use on screen user interfaces and menus. Program guides include channel guides, favorite channel lists and parental controls. The VIStar 3000 series is designed for broadband cable applications including broadcast and interactive broadcast featuring OpenTV. | The VISIONETICS VIStar 8000 series professional digital integrated
receiver and decoder supports SCPC/MCPC operation with full compliance to DVB-S. The
VIStar 2000 is designed to receive MPEG-2 MP@ML compliant transport streams and provide
broadcast quality video and audio. The VIStar 8000 series provides basedband video output and VHF or UHF modulated video in PAL or NTSC format. The VIStar 8000 series is housed in a one rack unit chassis. Its standard RS-232 interface allows for remote network control from a PC. An On-screen-display menu is provided when the unit is accessed front the front panel. The VIStar 8000 supports up to 99 transponders and can be easily switched from the front panel or RS-232. Optional second audio for second language and teletext are also supported. The VIStar 8000 series feature conditional access and security system options from NagraVision or NDS Open VideoGuard. All VIStar 8000 models support software downloads for selected firmware updates. The process is fully automatic without user intervention. The VIStar 8000 is well suited for cable headends, private networks and business television applications. |
