Mr. Zhang Dongli, Director of
China Hardware Association had boldly predicted that the China International
Hardware Show would become the second largest hardware show in the world
after three years, when sensing the booming situation of China Int’l
Hardware Show 2003. The fact is that the prediction comes true only one year
later. The China Int’l Hardware Show 2004 really was the second largest of
its kind in the world.
Mr. Zhang pointed out that China's hardware industry should make strategic
changes, namely, transferring from increased quantity to improved quality.
In recent years, many
world-renowned brands have moved their production plants to China, and thus
turned China into a production base for global hardware products. And
China's hardware industry has also benefited from these joint ventures and
economic cooperation, as the quality of China's hardware products has
greatly improved. Global hardware sourcers such as Home Depot, Lowe's and
OBI have increased their purchase of Chinese hardware products.
