Taiwan Chlorella Manufacturing Company was founded in l964. The company was
established by former Taipei City mayor Huang, Chi-Jui, who invited a group of famous
doctors and entrepreneurs to join him in establishing the first company in the world to
specialize in chlorella production.
In October, 1965, the company signed a technical cooperation agreement with a Japanese
company headed by Dr.Takezi, an authority on chlorella. A technology transfer from the
Japanese company was later successfully completed.
For more than 30 years, we have been dedicated to creating a better life for human beings
and improving people's health,while continuously innovating and progressing. Today we are
the largest and most experienced chlorella producer in the world.
In 1982, we went to Lungchun, in southern Taiwan, to build our second factory. The
Lungchun factory encompasses an area of 26,000 square meters and achieves an annual output
capacity of 18O metric tons.
Our distribution network extends around the globe.
Because worldwide demand quickly began to outstrip our production supply, we set up a
third factory in Wannin.
The Wannin factory is located on Hai-Nan Island, Mainland China's southernmost island. The
non-industrialized, pollution-free, tropical island offers favorable growth conditions for
chlorella, including intense sunlight, pure water, and clean air. In fact, all the
elements essential for chlorella cultivation are found on Hai-Nan island. Only in this
ideal environment can the highest quality chlorella be produced.
The Wannin factory comprises 540 thousand square meters, including 16 cultivation ponds,
40 meters in diameter each. The factory has an annual production output of 300 metric
tons. In the near future, we will expand to 120 cultivation ponds, in order to meet the
demands of the worldwide market. At that time, the Wannin factory will be the largest
single chlorella factory in the. world.
As the most specialized chlorella manufacturer, we have worked hard to break into the
overseas markets. Currently, Japan is our largest overseas market, followed by Europe, the
United States, Southeast Asia, and others, totalling more than 30 countries. Our products
are always highly praised by our overseas customers. In addition, we have won the
state-issued "excellent exporter" prize for 20 consecutive years. |
