VIGERS was established in London in 1842, by the Vigers family. The firm dealt in
general practice surveying, which extended through the fields of valuation, commercial
agency, investment, development, estate management and building surveying. It also
developed a particular expertise dealing in property matters relating to the construction
of main line and underground railway systems.
In 1975, as a result of this expertise the firm was appointed as consulting building
surveyors to Hong Kong's Mass Transit Railway Corporation and our first office was opened
in Kowloon in early February 1976 with a staff of four.
