XIAMEN UNITED DEVELOPMENT (GROUP) CO.,LTD is an investment joint venture established in October 1983 by Xianmen C&D Group Co., Ltd.,China Orient Trust & Investment Company and five banks of Hongkong B.O.C.(Bank of China) Group. The mission of the Corporation is to develop Huli Industrial District of Xiamen. Taking the construction of SEZ as its aim ,united development and contribution to society as its principle, the Corporation has made great progress during this 15 years. Right after the establishment the Corporation began to invest much capital in the construction of the infrastructure and the industrial buildings of Huli Industrial District to meet the urgent demand of Xiamen SEZ, and finally makes this District the first choice for businessmen from around the world to invest in. Later the Corporation continuously developed many industry trade buildings and elegant, newly styled residential districts which are well accepted by market and customers. Meanwhile, excellent real estate management service is provided to our customers. All these form the basis of the Corporation's specific advantage in real estate development.
Taking the advantages of solid financial strength, high reputation of the share holders and extensive business relations, the Corporation has established over 20 joint ventures. Among these joint
ventures are many hi-tech enterprises which take the lead in their trade. These form the solid foundation of the Corporation's business.
In 1997, adjustment was made to the Corporation's share structure, the internal administration
was reorganized and new managerial mechanism was set up. These led the Corporation to a new
stage, and the economic benefits was 138.08% more than that of previous year.
After 15 years of exploration, the Corporation has become a comprehensive group. The Corporation makes the investment, real estate development & management its main business, and
engages in international trade, advertisement and hotel business. Till the end of 1997, the Corporation's total assets were valued at 771.26 million RMB yuan.

BUSINESS SCOPE:
1. Invest in business concerning with joint ventures, cooperative enterprises or internal enterprises.
2. Real estate development & management.
3. International trade, entrepot trade, frontier trade, processing with imported materials, assembling
with supplied parts and components, compensation trade, leasing, bonded goods, warehousing,
transportation, and relevant agent business.
4. Advertising business.
5. Managing hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and other travelling service.
6. Consultation serivce.
7. Labour export.

In early 1980's the Corporation began to participate in the development of Huli Industrial District--the origin of Xiamen SEZ, and has built more than 450,000 square metres of universal industrial buildings,
hotels, office buildings and auxiliary projects. In 1993 the Corporation began to participate in residential constructions, and has developed more than 70,000 square metres of residential areas since then, including Mandarin Residential Area, Lianfa Garden, Xinhua Garden and Jiaomei Pearl City. All the projects are well accepted by market for their competitive price and high quality.
At present the Corporation has nearly 100,000 square metres of land for the development of commerial buildings such as mansion or luxurious mountain villas. In 1998 we have following projects:the East Lake Garden, which locates besides Yundan Lake in the east of South Lake Park;
the Taiwei Garden, which is in the cross of Xianyue Road and Jinshang Road; Ziwei Garden, locates
in Lianqian Avenue; Zhejiang Mansion, a 26-story sight-seeing apartments building near the east
approach bridge of Haicang Bridge; and No.37 universal industrial building, locates in Huli Industrial District and the built-up area is 28,000 square metres.
The business of real estate development is trusted by the Corporation to its Real Estate Department and the subsidiary Xiamen Lianfa(Group) Real Estate Co.,Ltd.
